KAN-therm Push Tee

KAN-therm Push tee

A KAN-therm Push tee splits a PE-Xc or PE-RT Push pipe into two branches without a threaded adapter. The joint uses a sliding ring: the expanded pipe end is pushed onto a profiled spigot and locked by the sleeve, with no O-ring. This fitting is used on cold and hot water branches, radiator take-offs and underfloor heating loops. A wrong diameter or body material breaks system compatibility, so the body, pipe and ring must be selected as one assembly.

Main types of KAN-therm Push tee

An equal tee has three outlets of the same outside diameter. It is used when the main and the branch match — typically 14×2, 18×2.5, 25×3.5 or 32×4.4. A PPSU body does not corrode and keeps a cleaner bore than a coupling plus a separate reducer. An equal PPSU tee suits concealed runs that will not be serviced after the screed is closed.

A reducing tee combines different diameters on the run or on the branch. It replaces an extra reducing coupling where the branch is smaller than the riser, for example a 14×2 outlet from an 18×2.5 line. All three sizes in the marking must be checked, not only the “main” diameter. A reducing Push tee cuts the number of joints on a manifold section.

A separate version is the tee with a nickel-plated copper tube Ø15 for radiator connection. The manufacturer’s range includes left- and right-hand tube positions and different tube lengths. It is chosen when the branch must reach the radiator valve directly. A brass body is useful next to metal parts; for concealed polymer runs PPSU is usually enough.

Materials and construction

The KAN-therm Push tee body is made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) or brass. PPSU is neutral to drinking water and does not corrode in a closed heating circuit. Brass adds rigidity, and the nickel-plated copper tube connects the radiator without a separate adapter. Sealing comes from the ring tension on the expanded pipe, not from a gasket. The ring may be brass or polymer and must follow the pipe type and system rules.

Where the KAN-therm Push tee is used

The branch fitting is used in apartment and house cold and hot water distribution, mixer take-offs, radiator branches and approaches to underfloor loops. For concealed installation the ring joint matters: tightness depends less on a rubber seal. Outdoor networks and lines with aggressive media are outside this group. Working temperature and pressure depend on the pipe type and the product data sheet, so they are not copied from one item to the whole range.

How to select a KAN-therm Push tee

Start with the pipe outside diameter and wall thickness, then choose equal, reducing or radiator-tube execution. All three outlets must match the actual PE-Xc or PE-RT pipe, and the ring must match pipe diameter and material. The expander and sliding tool must be the same size: an axial Push tee is not fitted to a pipe of another profile. Price depends on body material, diameter combination and whether a nickel-plated tube is included.

Why order from Pipeline Systems Ukraine

Pipeline Systems Ukraine can supply the KAN-therm Push tee wholesale or retail, check the marking against the pipe and ring, and advise on the joint kit. Delivery across Ukraine is available, and companies can receive documents for the ordered item. Availability, price and lead time are confirmed after the enquiry.

Popular sizes

  • 14×2 / 14×2 / 14×2
  • 18×2.5 / 18×2.5 / 18×2.5
  • 25×3.5 / 25×3.5 / 25×3.5
  • 32×4.4 / 32×4.4 / 32×4.4
  • reducing combinations 18×2.5 / 14×2, 25×3.5 / 18×2.5, 32×4.4 / 25×3.5
  • with nickel-plated copper tube Ø15, left- and right-hand

These sizes follow the KAN-therm Push range. Actual stock of a specific execution should be confirmed before ordering.

FAQ

How does an equal tee differ from a reducing tee?
An equal tee has three outlets of one diameter and suits matching branches. A reducing tee changes size on the run or branch and removes a separate reducer. All three sizes in the code must be read, or the ring will not fit the pipe.

Why a tee with a nickel-plated tube?
The Ø15 copper tube brings the branch to the radiator valve without an extra adapter. The range distinguishes left- and right-hand positions and tube length. The side is chosen according to how the main approaches the radiator.

Can a Push tee be used on any PEX pipe?
No. The fitting is intended for PE-Xc and PE-RT pipes of the KAN-therm Push profile. A different diameter, wall thickness or expansion method will not give the designed ring tension. The ring must also be the system ring, brass or polymer, as specified for the joint.

PPSU or brass for a concealed run?
For water and underfloor heating a black PPSU body is usually enough: it does not corrode and is neutral to drinking water. Brass is useful where the joint needs rigidity or sits next to metal parts. Material does not replace a check of diameter and ring type.

What drives the price, and how is a batch ordered?
Price follows body material, diameter mix and the nickel-plated tube. A wholesale batch should follow the circuit list: tees, rings and pipe of the same size. Stock, price and delivery in Ukraine are confirmed on request.
