SNP gaskets to GOST R 52376-2005 — buy standard spiral-wound seals at Pipeline Systems of Ukraine
GOST R 52376-2005 defines heat-resistant spiral-wound gaskets for valve and pipe flanges. The sealing ring is wound from V-profile stainless strip and a filler tape, usually expanded graphite. Guide rings may be fitted inside, outside or on both sides of the winding.
The standard lists four types: A — winding only; B — inner ring; G — outer ring; D — both rings. The type is matched to the flange facing. The outer ring centres the gasket on a raised-face flange around the bolt circle; the inner ring stops the winding from buckling into the bore. The designation includes type, facing codes, DN and nominal pressure — that string is what you check against the flange datasheet.
Do not treat an SNP to this standard as a sheet paronite or rubber ring: stiffness, tightening and duty range are different. Temperature and pressure limits depend on type, filler and size. The standard sets the scope of the product family; the actual batch must be checked against its marking and datasheet.
You can order SNP gaskets to GOST R 52376-2005 from the Pipeline Systems of Ukraine online store. Managers will help you read the designation for your flange. Delivery is available across Ukraine.
SNP gaskets manufactured in accordance with GOST R 52376-2005 are spiral-wound sealing gaskets intended for general industrial applications. They feature a composite construction consisting of a metal strip and a soft filler. The spiral is made of carbon steel grade 20 or stainless steel grade 12Kh18N10T, while expanded graphite or PTFE is used as the filler material.
The range includes GOST R 52376-2005 spiral-wound gaskets in nominal sizes from DN 15 to DN 1400. Available configurations include SNP-A with an outer centering ring and SNP-V with an inner ring. Versions with both rings or without rings are available to order.
Technical Specifications
Standard: GOST R 52376-2005, “Spiral-Wound Sealing Gaskets — Technical Specifications.”
Temperature range: −200 to +650 °C for gaskets with expanded graphite filler; up to +260 °C for gaskets with PTFE filler.
Pressure rating: up to PN 250.
Strip material: carbon steel grade 20 for general industrial applications; stainless steel grade 12Kh18N10T for corrosive media and high-temperature service.
Ring material: carbon steel or stainless steel, depending on the selected configuration.
Filler material: expanded graphite for general-purpose applications; PTFE for aggressive chemical media; asbestos for legacy products.
Applications
-
High-pressure steam pipelines, boiler feed lines, and steam turbines at combined heat and power plants.
-
Thermal power engineering, including flanged connections in boiler equipment, economizers, and superheaters.
-
General industrial process pipelines operating under high pressure and at elevated temperatures.
-
General-purpose oil refining, water treatment, and chemical water treatment systems.
-
Gate valve and control valve flanges operating under conditions where PON-B compressed non-asbestos or paronite gaskets no longer provide reliable sealing.
Available Configurations
| Configuration | Construction | Application |
|---|---|---|
| SNP-A | With an outer centering ring | Flanges with a flat sealing surface |
| SNP-V | With an inner ring | Male-and-female flanges centered by the recess; the inner ring protects the spiral from erosion caused by the process medium |
SNP-B gaskets without rings for tongue-and-groove flanges, SNP-G gaskets with both inner and outer rings, and SNP-D gaskets with double winding are available to order.
Differences Between GOST R 52376-2005 and OST 26.260.454-99
The construction and basic parameters are the same: a metal spiral, filler material, and retaining rings. GOST R 52376-2005 is a national standard for general industrial applications, including thermal and hydropower facilities and general-purpose pressure pipelines.
OST 26.260.454-99 is an industry standard for chemical, oil, and gas equipment manufacturing. It establishes stricter requirements for quality control and materials used in critical petrochemical equipment.
If a specific standard is stated in the project documentation, the gaskets must be selected strictly in accordance with that standard. Substitution is not permitted.
