Brass taps

Brass elbows are threaded angle fittings used to change the direction of a pipeline. This product group commonly includes 90° and 45° elbows, in equal-bore and reducing versions. Thread layouts are typically female–female, male–male, and male–female (street elbow). These connections are practical at route turns, next to valves, and in tight installation spaces.

Brass elbows are used in cold and hot water supply, heating, compressed air, and process lines with media that are non-aggressive to the body material. The thread is usually parallel pipe thread; sealing is provided with PTFE tape, thread seal cord, or anaerobic sealant. Uncoated, nickel-plated, and chrome-plated versions are common.

When selecting a fitting, consider bend angle, thread type, size (DN / inch thread), working pressure, and temperature.
