KAN-therm Push extension piece

KAN-therm Push extension fitting

A KAN-therm Push extension fitting is used where a manifold, radiator or wall-plate thread does not line up with the PE-Xc or PE-RT pipe axis. It is a brass sliding-sleeve fitting: a profiled stub for the sleeve on one side, male or female pipe thread on the other. The right length keeps the joint tight and avoids bending the pipe hard against the fitting.

Main types of KAN-therm Push extensions

Two forms are common. A threaded Push extension has a stub for 14×2, 18×2.5 or 25×3.5 pipe and a G1/2 or G3/4 thread. Male thread screws into the female port of a manifold, valve or wall plate. The female-thread version lengthens an existing male outlet so another component can be fitted.

A mounting extension only adds built length, without changing pipe size. It is chosen when plaster, tile, a cabinet recess or the radiator set-off is deeper than a standard connector allows. On an exposed run next to a radiator, a nickel-plated finish is usually preferred.

The pipe joint is made with the Push method: the pipe end is expanded, pushed onto the stub and locked with a brass or plastic sliding sleeve. No seal is used on the stub. The thread is sealed separately, in a place that remains accessible.

Materials and construction

The body is brass suitable for heating and domestic water. Brass holds the thread and tightening torque and does not deform under the sleeve. PPSU is used for other Push fittings, but a threaded extension is almost always brass: polymer is a poor choice for a thin threaded wall.

Versions differ by thread side, projection length and stub diameter. The stub is profiled for one pipe size, so a 14×2 piece does not replace 18×2.5 or 25×3.5. The sliding sleeve is matched to the same diameter and ordered separately if it is not included. Length, weight and duty limits depend on the version and should be checked on the product data sheet.

Where the extension is used

The fitting is used on apartment and house heating, hot-water and cold-water circuits in PE-Xc and PE-RT pipe with an oxygen barrier. Typical points are a manifold outlet, a radiator connection, a mixer wall plate and the transition from a cabinet to a run in screed or a chase. Installers use it to close the gap between the drawing and the real finish thickness, ordering it with pipe and sleeves from the same system.

How to choose a KAN-therm Push extension

Start with pipe size: 14×2 for short tails, 18×2.5 for most loops, 25×3.5 for runs to the manifold. Then match the port thread. Domestic manifolds and radiator valves usually need a brass G1/2 extension; larger outlets need G3/4. Do not join a female parallel thread to a third-party taper thread without the adapter the system allows.

Take length with allowance for the finish, but not an excessive projection: a long arm takes side load poorly. Make the first pipe bend at the distance the system manufacturer specifies. Check the article against the drawing before ordering: price follows diameter, thread type and length.

Why order from Piping Systems of Ukraine

Piping Systems of Ukraine matches the KAN-therm Push extension with pipe, sliding sleeve and related fittings. Specialists check diameter, thread and length before dispatch. We supply installers, designers and private buyers, wholesale and retail. Availability and price are confirmed on request, delivery is arranged across Ukraine, and supplier documents can be requested for the item.

Popular sizes

  • 14×2 — G1/2 male
  • 18×2.5 — G1/2 male or female
  • 18×2.5 — G3/4
  • 25×3.5 — G3/4
  • 25×3.5 — G1
  • longer mounting extensions in G1/2 and G3/4

Send a request to confirm stock and price of the KAN-therm Push extension you need. We will match pipe size, port thread and sleeve kit.

FAQ

How is an extension different from a standard Push connector? A standard connector only joins pipe to a thread or to another pipe. An extension adds built length so the outlet clears the wall, cabinet recess or radiator bracket. The stub and sliding-sleeve method stay the same.

Is a separate sleeve required? Yes, if the sleeve is not supplied with the item. It must match the pipe — 14×2, 18×2.5 or 25×3.5 — and be a brass or PVDF sleeve for the Push system. Without it the joint is not locked.

Can the extension sit in the screed? The sliding-sleeve joint on the pipe is intended for concealed installation. Keep the threaded part accessible: it is sealed with hemp or tape and must remain serviceable. Place the thread in a cabinet, hatch or recess, not cast into the slab.

Which thread fits a manifold or radiator? Most domestic manifolds and radiator valves have a female G1/2 port, so the extension needs a male G1/2. G3/4 is for larger manifold outlets and 25×3.5 runs. Measure the port before ordering.

What drives the price, and how is delivery arranged? Price changes with pipe diameter, thread type and projection length. Stock in Ukraine is confirmed by article, and a site batch can be packed with pipe and sleeves. Delivery is agreed with the request.
