Plug KAN-therm Push

KAN-therm Push end cap

A KAN-therm Push end cap closes an unused end of a PE-Xc or PE-RT pipe in the sliding-sleeve system. It is used on a spare branch, the end of an underfloor heating loop, an unused manifold outlet, or a run that is not yet connected to a fixture. Unlike a threaded plug, the fitting follows the Push joint: the pipe end is expanded, pushed onto a profiled spigot, and locked with a sliding ring. A wrong size, or a service plug used as a permanent blank, leaks at the pressure test, so the size is taken from the pipe marking.

Main types of KAN-therm Push end caps

The permanent stop end blanks the circuit for the life of that section. The spigot matches a specific pipe — 12×2, 14×2, 18×2, 18×2.5, 25×3.5 or 32×4.4 — and is locked with a sliding ring ordered separately. The seal comes from the spigot profile and the ring tension, with no O-ring on the body. This version suits an outlet that will stay closed: a spare manifold port, a radiator circuit taken out of service, or a loop end.

The service polymer plug is a different part. A short plug with an O-ring and a G½" thread is supplied with wall-plate elbows or sold as a service item. The manufacturer limits it to the leak test: after pressure testing it is removed and a tap or mixer is fitted. It must not be left as a permanent blank on a wall outlet.

Materials and construction

Permanent end caps in this range are brass. The body takes the radial load of the sliding ring and has no separate seal on the spigot — that O-ring-free joint is what separates a Push connection from a threaded plug. The ring is matched to the same outside diameter and wall thickness; in the system it is typically brass. The wall-outlet service plug is polymer, with its own O-ring, and is not classed as a permanent fitting. Exact temperature and pressure limits depend on the size and the product data sheet.

Where the end cap is used

The fitting closes circuits that already use KAN-therm Push pipe: radiator heating, underfloor heating, and cold or hot water in a flat, house, or small commercial building. On a manifold it blanks the outlet of the current stage; on a wall plate the service plug holds pressure only during the test. It is not intended for steel or flanged networks.

How to choose a KAN-therm Push end cap

Start with the pipe marking. 18×2 and 18×2.5 are different spigots: the outside diameter matches, the wall does not, and the ring from one pipe will not seat correctly on the other. Do not mix 14×2 with 12×2, or 25×3.5 with 32×4.4. Specifications often cite the 9019 catalogue series — quoting that code with the size is enough to avoid the wrong article.

Then define the job. A permanent pipe end needs a brass end cap plus a sliding ring of the same size. A G½" wall outlet under test needs the short polymer plug, which is removed afterwards. A threaded plug does not substitute: the joint is different. Price depends on size, version, and whether the ring is included.

Why order from Pipeline Systems Ukraine

Pipeline Systems Ukraine can match a KAN-therm Push end cap to the pipe on site and add the sliding ring and related connectors from the same range. Specialists check the size against the specification and advise where a permanent cap is required and where a service plug is enough. We supply installers and private buyers, wholesale and retail, with shipment across Ukraine and documents for the delivery.

Send a request to confirm stock and price for the size you need. We will specify the ring and end cap set for your Push pipe.

Popular sizes

  • 12×2 — brass stop end for Push pipe 12×2
  • 14×2 — common size for underfloor loops and branches, 9019 catalogue series
  • 18×2 — for 2.0 mm wall pipe, not interchangeable with 18×2.5
  • 18×2.5 — main size for radiator drops and wall outlets
  • 25×3.5 — distribution runs and manifold connections
  • 32×4.4 — larger diameter in the Push range
  • G½" — short polymer service plug for pressure testing a wall-plate elbow only

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the KAN-therm Push end cap

How does a permanent end cap differ from a service plug? A permanent brass end cap closes the pipe end with a spigot and sliding ring and stays in the circuit. A polymer service plug with an O-ring and G½" thread is only for leak-testing a wall-plate elbow. After the test it is removed and a tap or mixer is fitted.

Does the sliding ring have to be ordered separately? Yes. For the stop end the ring is usually not part of the fitting body. It is matched to the same pipe size, such as 14×2 or 18×2.5. Without the ring the Push joint is not locked, so both items should be checked in one order.

Can an 18×2 end cap be used on 18×2.5 pipe? No. The outside diameter matches, but the wall thickness does not, so the spigot and ring will not give the correct tension. The same applies to 12×2 and 14×2. Take the size from the pipe marking, not from the nearest fitting on site.

Can the polymer plug stay on a wall outlet after the pressure test? No. The manufacturer limits the short polymer plug to the leak test. A permanent close needs the specified tap or valve, or the section must be remade with a pipe end cap if that outlet will not be used.

What drives the price, and how do I order? Price changes with size, version (brass stop end or service plug), and whether the sliding ring is added. A quote needs the pipe size and the number of points. Send a request via pipelinesystems.com.ua and we will confirm stock, price, and delivery in Ukraine.
