KAN-therm Push nut

KAN-therm Push union nut

A KAN-therm Push union nut locks a serviceable compression joint between a PE-Xc or PE-RT pipe and a manifold, radiator valve or male-thread fitting. It drives the split ring onto the eurocone stub so the joint can be opened for service without cutting the pipe. The part is used on underfloor heating loops, apartment heating branches and internal water supply. A mismatch in thread or pipe size leaks at the cone, so the size is taken from the nipple and the pipe marking.

Main types of KAN-therm Push union nut

This group covers KAN-therm Push system parts, not generic plumbing nuts.

The eurocone union nut belongs to a cone adapter: a body with stub and sealing ring, a split compression ring and the nut itself. The cone seats on a manifold nipple or a male-thread fitting and seals without tape on the cone face. It is chosen when a pipe must meet an underfloor manifold or a radiator valve and stay accessible.

A clamping nut on a screwed joint works with a brass ring and a body that screws into a female thread. The nut goes onto the pipe, then the ring; the pipe is pushed onto the stub and the nut is tightened until the ring grips the end. This is for accessible runs that need a union, not a permanent Push sliding-sleeve joint.

A nut for Ø15 copper tube is supplied with a compression sleeve for nickel-plated copper radiator tails. The thread — usually G1/2 or G3/4 eurocone — is matched to the valve or fitting.

Materials and construction

The cone-adapter body and the nut are brass. A nickel finish reduces surface contact with water and keeps the exposed joint by the manifold cabinet easier to maintain. The eurocone seals on the cone and on the ring between adapter body and fitting, so tape on the cone face is not used. The body thread that screws into a female port is sealed separately.

A Push sliding sleeve and a eurocone compression ring are different parts. The sleeve makes a permanent joint; the ring works only with the nut.

Where it is used

A KAN-therm Push nut for manifolds closes underfloor loops onto a 3/4 eurocone nipple. The same principle is used on a radiator bottom connection and on a nickel-plated copper tail. On water supply, the cone adapter stays on an accessible section of the distributor. A screwed compression joint is not buried in the screed.

How to choose

Check outside diameter and wall thickness first: common pairs are 12×2, 14×2, 16×2 and 18×2.5 for PE-Xc and PE-RT, and Ø15 for copper. Then match the mating thread. Most underfloor manifolds use a G3/4 eurocone; some radiator nodes use G1/2. A nut alone, without ring and adapter body, does not make the joint. Price depends on pipe size, thread and whether the item is a nut with sleeve or a complete cone adapter. Operating limits are taken from the product data sheet.

Why order from Piping Systems of Ukraine

On pipelinesystems.com.ua the KAN-therm Push union nut can be matched to pipe size and manifold thread. Specialists check eurocone, ring and nut before dispatch. We supply contractors and private buyers, wholesale and retail, with delivery across Ukraine. Availability and price are confirmed on request and depend on the size.

Send a request to match thread and pipe size and to confirm stock and price. We will say whether you need a complete cone adapter or only a nut with compression sleeve.

FAQ

How is a eurocone union nut different from a Push sliding sleeve? The sliding sleeve is drawn over the fitting and makes a permanent joint with no O-ring in the fitting body. The union nut works with a split ring and a cone stub and can be opened if the pipe stays on the stub. The parts are not interchangeable.

Can a KAN-therm Push nut be buried in the underfloor screed? No. Screwed and cone joints stay accessible, in the manifold cabinet or at the appliance. Only permanent pipe runs with a sliding sleeve go into the floor.

Which thread does the manifold need — 1/2 or 3/4? Most underfloor manifolds have a G3/4 eurocone nipple. Some radiator valves and tails are G1/2. Read the nipple, do not infer the thread from the pipe diameter.

Will a nut for Ø15 copper fit a PE-Xc pipe? No. The Ø15 copper version is for metal tube and its own compression sleeve. PE-Xc and PE-RT need a cone adapter for the exact diameter and wall, for example 16×2.

Does the eurocone need thread sealant? Not on the cone face: sealing comes from the cone and the ring between adapter body and fitting. Sealant is used only on a body thread that screws into a female port. Extra sealant on the cone prevents proper seating.
