KAN-therm Push gasket
The KAN-therm Push gasket is a spare sealing ring for the eurocone adapter of the KAN-therm Push system. It sits in the groove of the brass body and, together with the cone seat, seals the joint without hemp or PTFE tape. The ring is required when a PE-Xc or PE-RT pipe is connected to an underfloor-heating manifold nipple, a male-thread fitting or a radiator valve. A match between pipe size and union-nut thread decides whether the joint stays dry after a pressure test.
Main types of KAN-therm Push gasket
This group covers the seal of a demountable eurocone joint, not the sliding sleeve of the Push connection itself. The basic pipe-to-fitting joint is made by expanding the pipe end and sliding a brass or PVDF ring over it: that joint does not use an extra O-ring. The gasket appears only at the transition to a male thread.
The black O-ring is fitted on the eurocone adapter body. Once the union nut is tightened, the cone seats in the nipple and the ring closes the gap between the body and the mating part. This is how manifolds with a 3/4" nipple and compatible radiator valves are sealed.
A ring is selected for a specific pipe pair of outside diameter and wall thickness. Common pairs are 12×2, 14×2, 18×2 and 18×2.5, with a union nut of G1/2", G3/4" or G1". A service ring is fitted when the old one is cut, flattened or has lost elasticity, while the cone and nut thread are still sound.
Materials and construction of the KAN-therm Push gasket
The ring is made of black elastomer. Elasticity provides the self-sealing cone action: after a controlled tightening it fills the groove and holds the seal on cold water, hot water and a heating circuit. The adapter body is brass; the nut often has a protective finish. What matters for the ring is section and inside diameter: a look-alike size will not sit in the groove or will walk out during tightening.
This is an O-ring, not a flat fibre or gasket sheet washer. The joint is sealed by the cone plus the ring in the groove. A split compression ring for a screw connector is a different service part and must not be confused with the eurocone O-ring.
Where the KAN-therm Push gasket is used
The ring is used on internal cold-water, hot-water and heating lines in PE-Xc and PE-RT. The typical joint is an adapter on an underfloor-heating manifold: the pipe leaves the screed, and the demountable connection stays in the cabinet. The second case is a connection to a radiator valve or a male-thread fitting made for a eurocone. The threaded joint is not buried in the floor; it has to remain accessible for inspection.
How to choose a KAN-therm Push gasket
Check pipe diameter, wall thickness and union-nut thread first, not only the black colour of the ring. KAN-therm manifolds commonly use a 3/4" nipple, so the KAN-therm Push eurocone gasket must match the adapter body of that connection. A 18×2.5 pipe needs the seal of that connector; a 14×2 pipe needs its own.
Before replacement, inspect the groove, the cone and the nipple face: a scratch or a stripped nut thread is not cured by a new ring. Remove the old ring completely and fit the new one without twisting. Do not wrap hemp or PTFE on the cone — the extra layer shifts the seat and can extrude the ring. Pressure-test the joint after assembly. Temperature and pressure limits depend on the connector series and must be checked in the product data sheet.
The price of a KAN-therm Push gasket depends on size and on whether the ring is supplied alone or with the adapter body.
Why order from Pipeline Systems of Ukraine
At Pipeline Systems of Ukraine the seal is matched to a specific eurocone adapter and manifold nipple. Pipe size, nut thread and connector version are checked before dispatch. Retail is available for a single replacement and wholesale for installation companies, with delivery across Ukraine and advice on the joint kit. Supporting documents can be requested for the item.
Popular sizes
The ring is matched to the eurocone body, not chosen by eye. Common pipe and union-nut pairs:
- 12×2 — G1/2"
- 12×2 — G3/4"
- 14×2 — G1/2"
- 14×2 — G3/4"
- 18×2 — G3/4"
- 18×2.5 — G3/4"
- 25×3.5 — G1"
Send a request to check stock and price of the KAN-therm Push gasket in the size you need. We will confirm which ring fits your eurocone adapter and manifold.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about the KAN-therm Push gasket
How is the eurocone gasket different from a Push sliding ring? The sliding ring clamps the expanded pipe end onto the fitting stub and does not use an O-ring. The KAN-therm Push gasket sits only on the eurocone adapter and seals the body against a manifold nipple, valve or male-thread fitting. They are different parts and are not interchangeable.
Do I need hemp or PTFE tape on the eurocone joint? No extra wrap is placed on the cone or under the ring. Sealing comes from the cone seat together with the black O-ring. Hemp or tape shifts the body in the seat and can push the ring out. The nut thread is tightened evenly, without skew.
When should the ring be replaced? Replace it after a leak on pressure test, or if it is cut, flattened, cracked or no longer elastic. A scored cone or a stripped nut thread will not be fixed by a new ring; the damaged part has to be changed as well. Remove the old ring fully and fit the new one in the groove without a twist.
Will any black 3/4" ring fit a KAN-therm Push adapter? No. A 3/4" nipple is common on manifolds, but the ring must sit in the groove of that body and match the pipe pair, for example 14×2 or 18×2.5. A ring from another system, or a flat washer, will not seal this joint.
Can a joint with this gasket be buried in the screed? No. The demountable eurocone thread is left in the manifold cabinet or another accessible place. It is not cast into the floor, otherwise the ring and cone cannot be checked or replaced without opening the screed.
