KAN-therm Push ball valve
A KAN-therm Push ball valve shuts off flow in PE-Xc and PE-RT pipes with an EVOH barrier without opening the pipe run. It is used on a heating branch, a draw-off point and an underfloor loop where the riser or manifold must stay in service. The body joins the pipe by a sliding ring: the pipe end is expanded, pushed onto a profiled stub and locked with a brass sleeve. No sealing tape is used on the Push joint itself. A mismatch on 14×2, 18×2.5, 25×3.5 or 32×4.4 leaves a loose joint, so the pipe size is checked before ordering.
Main types of KAN-therm Push ball valve
Two executions are used in this system. They differ by connection layout, not by the shut-off principle.
A straight brass KAN-therm Push ball valve has two Push stubs for the same pipe size. The ported ball turns 90° and fully opens or closes the bore, with no intermediate throttling. It is placed in a radiator branch, ahead of an underfloor loop and on any section that must be isolated for service.
A combined KAN-therm Push stop valve pairs one sliding end with a thread. It is the transition from polyethylene pipe to a manifold, a meter or metal fittings. The thread is sealed separately; the sliding ring works only on the polymer side.
Materials and construction
The body is normally brass: the metal holds the stem thread and handles a hot-water cycle better than a thin polymer fitting. The sliding ring is brass, asymmetric, with an internal chamfer facing the stub. The stub enters the expanded pipe end with no extra seal on the Push joint. The handle is a lever or a butterfly; a short lever is easier in a recess or a manifold cabinet. Ball and stem seal materials depend on the version and must be checked in the product data sheet.
Where a KAN-therm Push ball valve is used
The valve is used in internal cold and hot water, radiator heating and underfloor heating on KAN-therm Push pipe. On a manifold it isolates one loop, at a radiator it isolates the branch for removal, on an apartment outlet it sits ahead of a meter or strainer. It is not intended for large industrial mains: the system range is 12–32 mm.
How to choose
Match outside diameter and wall thickness first: 14×2, 18×2.5, 25×3.5 or 32×4.4. The ring and the expander head must be the same size. Then check the layout — a straight valve or a threaded transition. For domestic hot water and heating, confirm the valve is rated for Push system conditions in the PN10 class; exact pressure and temperature belong to the data sheet of that item, not to the whole group. Price depends on diameter, end type and whether the sliding ring is included: it is often ordered separately.
Why order from Piping Systems of Ukraine
At Piping Systems of Ukraine a KAN-therm Push ball valve can be ordered with the ring, PE-Xc or PE-RT pipe and Push fittings, so the set is not split across suppliers. Specialists match pipe size and connection type to the design. We work with installers, designers and retail buyers, ship wholesale and single units, and deliver across Ukraine, including Kyiv. Availability and price are confirmed on request; documents for the specific item go out with the shipment.
Popular sizes
- 14×2 — short draw-off branches and appliance outlets
- 18×2.5 — radiator connections and underfloor loops
- 25×3.5 — manifold supply
- 32×4.4 — main runs of a Push system
Send a request to confirm stock and price. We will match the size to the pipe and the sliding-ring set.
FAQ
Is sealing tape used on a Push joint? No tape or paste goes on the Push stub: the seal is the sliding ring after the pipe is expanded. Tape or hemp is used only on the threaded end of a combined valve. Too much sealant on the thread can crack a PPSU mating part.
How does a straight valve differ from a threaded one? A straight valve has two ends for the same pipe size and sits in a branch break. A combined valve has one sliding end and a thread for a manifold, meter or metal transition. Both shut off with a 90° turn; only the tie-in differs.
Which ring fits 18×2.5 pipe? Use a brass sliding ring made for 18×2.5, chamfer toward the stub. A ring for 18×2 or 14×2 will not compress correctly. The ring is often sold separately, so it should be added to the order with the pipe size.
Can the valve be buried in screed? The handle must stay reachable: a valve in screed or under plaster cannot be closed without opening the finish. Leave an access panel or place the shut-off in the manifold cabinet. A Push joint is suitable for concealed pipe, not for burying the handle.
What drives the price, and can it be ordered wholesale? Price changes with diameter, end type and whether the ring is included. For a site it is simpler to order the valve, rings and Push fittings together. Wholesale and retail ship across Ukraine, and stock is confirmed before payment.
